Famous people who are better known for their accomplishments in showbiz are
making a name for themselves as hoteliers as well.
Surprisingly or not, look beyond hotel websites and you'll find celebrity
proprietors or backers who are behind the glamorous facade of world-famous
hotels.
Earlier this year, American director Francis Ford Coppola opened the Palazzo
Margherita in Italy, which is his fifth and latest addition to the Coppola
Resorts portfolio.
AFP Relax lists the 10 of the best hotel properties for their star factor

Francis Ford Coppola rose to directorial fame with the release of The
Godfather. His newest hotel property is Palazzo Margherita in Bernalda, Italy.

The nine-room palazzo is inspired by a family home. Rooms are designed by
his children Roman and Sofia, among others like French designer Jacques Grange,
reported AFP Relax.
Bono and The Edge (R) from the former Irish rock band U2 own a hotel in
Ireland.

The boutique property has 49 individual suites for guests to choose from.

"No two rooms are alike," the hotel said on its website. While each room is
different, the Irish designers of the hotel went with rich cardinal colours of
crimson, royal blue, amethyst, gold & chocolate, paired with oak furniture and
cotton velvet drapes.

He restored this 1800s ranch to create a 'unique resort experience',
reported AFP Relax. There are 31 rooms located within 10 separate buildings
within the 22-acre compound.

There are different scenic vantage points which overlook Point Lobos, Carmel
River Beach and the Pacific Ocean. While dining at the hotel's restaurant, you
can also apparently gaze at sheep grazing in the meadow, according to the
hotel's website.
