Noisy, pesky kids running around the resort can be the last thing you want
when you are hoping for a romantic getaway.
With that in mind, Akyra Chura Samui has banned kids under the age of 12
from its resort since the start of November.
This will allow travellers to have that peaceful, romantic couples'
experience.
Situated on the quieter northern stretch of the beach at Chaweng Noi, the
resort is just under 10 minutes away from the airport, making it all the more
convenient to get to.
Akyra’s Resident Manager Colin Owen Healy said demand had grown quickly for
more private, couples-oriented holiday experiences.
This positioning is the brainchild of Akaryn Hospitality Management Services
(AHMS), the management company founded by boutique hotel aficionado Anchalika
Kijkanakorn.
AHMS manages Akyra Chura Samui as well as, owns and operates Akaryn Samui in
Hanuman Bay.
Earlier this year, I managed to get a feel of what these two resorts on Koh
Samui had to offer.
In 5 minutes you can get from the airport to the beach, enjoying the sun
with a drink in your hand, says resident manager of Akyra Chura Samui, Colin
Owen Healy.
Akyra resort, located on Chaweng beach, was close to the airport, but yet
offers visitors the comforts of a quiet beach getaway.
Akyra together with its sister resort Akaryn are among the latest resorts in
Thailand’s Koh Samui island.
Having just celebrated its first anniversary, Akyra can be considered as the
‘younger and hipper’ of the two.
Ideal for couples who want to explore a bit of the island, be close to the
‘party scene’ and yet return to a sanctuary.
Especially more so now with the resort positioning itself as a chic romantic
retreat - it has become the first "adults only" resort on Chaweng Beach.
