Temperatures are expected to hit 13 degrees Celsius on Tuesday in Northern Taiwan.

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- As October ends, upcoming November marks the start of the cool winter season. The temperatures will drop drastically next week, starting Sunday, hitting 13 degrees Celsius on Tuesday in northern Taiwan, reported the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) yesterday.
Affected by the northeastern monsoon, the weather will cool down 3 to 4 degrees in northern and eastern Taiwan on Sunday and gradually become colder the next three days. As the monsoon gets stronger, the weather on Tuesday will be chilly, going down to 13 degrees in the early morning, with highs around 22 degrees Celsius in addition to occasional showers, the CWB said.
Central and western Taiwan will not experience winter yet, facing stable weather of at least 26 degrees Celsius in the daytime. However, people should grab a coat when going out since the temperature at night will change radically, with lows around 13 degrees in central Taiwan and 18 degrees in southern Taiwan, the CWB forecasted.
As for typhoon number 21, Tropical Storm Mirinae was 1,500 km away from Taiwan and is continuing travel west at a speed of 29 kph. Although the CWB forecasted the typhoon will not hit Taiwan, its periphery will influence northern and eastern Taiwan, bringing more rain when it reaches the Philippines, expected by Sunday.
