Exotic servings at roadshow

Chefs from four regional countries will demonstrate their skills at the Fabulous Food 1Malaysia programme.

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Chefs from four regional countries are whipping up exotic cuisines during the month-long Malaysia Asean Heritage Trail with Chef Wan under the Tourism Ministry’s Fabulous Food 1Malaysia programme. It begins today.
The Asean food festival roadshow was officially launched yesterday by minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen at the Lot 10 shopping mall here.
Several renowned chefs from Thailand, Cambodia and Indonesia will be showcasing their culinary skills at the roadshow.
Local chefs will also be cooking signature dishes that include Cristang cuisine — Malaccan food with Portuguese-Dutch influence — besides Johor and Nyonya cuisines.
Dr Ng said the roadshow, which is co-organised by the ministry and Chef Wan, would be held at two shopping malls — Lot 10 (from Oct 29 to Nov 8) and Avenue K at Jalan Ampang (Nov 12 to Nov 22).
