'Cabbies dirtier than toilets'

For tourists, the behaviour of unscrupulous taxi drivers is worse than the condition of toilets in Malaysia.

Over-charging & not using meters has been the norm for many years. They do that to both tourists & locals! Do u think it will change overnight? Malaysia's government is going to do something? I doubt the effect will happen soon. Let's give them 10 years to see a slight improvement? By then, those taxi drivers can retire with lots of cheated money from tourists!

My wife and I were with my 3 year old child trying to get a cab to our hotel as It was raining but was charge RM$25 for a 10 mins journey. They are just pirates and I believed there are much much more cases which are not reported.

Malaysian Taxi is the worst that I had experienced during my overseas holidays. They are rude, over charge the passengers all the time because most of them do not want to use the meters. They refuse to take passengers when it rains. Totally disgusting!!!.

I glad that this issue is gaining the attention of the Malaysian authorities. It is high time they look seriously to improve the situation before more people turned away.
