Local Seoul Palace Hotel in Bangbae-dong, southern Seoul, will officially become an affiliate of international WORLDHOTELS group in January.
"The biggest strengths that our hotel has are our customized services for each guest and our location of being in the heart of Gangnam's business and financing district," said Seoul Palace Hotel general manager and vice president Lee Jong-bae at a recent press conference.
"We look forward to presenting our services internationally with the help of WORLDHOTELS' outstanding marketing networks."
Meanwhile, WORLDHOTELS intends to widen its business here through its partnership with Seoul Palace Hotel, said Ronald Jegge, the Asia-Pacific division vice president of the brand.
Seoul Palace Hotel becomes the third affiliate of the group following two Lotte Hotels in downtown Seoul and Jamsil-dong, respectively.
Being one of Seoul's first "Deluxe Hotels," Seoul Palace Hotel has been offering diverse up-scale hospitality services since 1982. Yet, as more modern and luxurious "Super Deluxe Hotels" started to be established, the hotel has been relatively downgraded.
Aiming to get its old reputation back and target the international market, the hotel recently went through a major renovation process on its restaurants, public spaces and banquet halls, while that on the rooms will be launched next year.
WORLDHOTELS is the longest-standing Europe-based hotel group for independent hotels and regional brands. It has been working with around 500 hotels in some 70 countries, including the Harbour Plaza Hong Kong and Buddha Bar Hotel in Prague under the slogan of "unique hotels for unique people."
