When I told my friends I just returned from India, the first response most of them gave me was 'What? Was it really Hot there?' I believe that Singaporeans have this misconception of India. First, it actually snows there! and the scenic places are really comparable to the 7 wonders. Delhi - the capital of India has unlimited attractions on its own. 17th century Shahjahanabad (old Delhi) which includes the Lal Qila(Red Fort), the Jama Masjid, India's Largest mosque, Digambara Jain temple.New Delhi is like a historical site where you can visit India gate, built in memory of the soldiers who died in WW1.The national museum is also a tourist attraction you should take note of.

I am planning a self-drive family vacation to Melbourne and the Gold Coast in Australia in June. Can you recommend a reasonably priced caravan motorhome? Also, what caravan parks are easily accessible in those cities? - Tan Chuen Huat
Campervan rentals start from about A$80 (S$98) a day, depending on their size and facilities. Those equipped with shower and toilet facilities are slightly pricier at A$99 a day for four people and can go up to about A$170. Check out www.campertravel.com.au for rental types and availability. For caravan parks in Melbourne, there is BIG4 Dandenong Tourist Park, which is a 45-minute drive from Melbourne city. It provides caravan and camping sites and cabin accommodation, if you want a change of sleeping quarters. The site is also close to popular tourist attractions such as Phillip Island, where you can see the famed Penguin Parade and Puffing Billy Station, a panoramic steam train ride your children will enjoy. Caravan sites start from A$32. Prices for cabins start from A$108 and include facilities such as kitchenettes. In Gold Coast, try the Treasure Island Holiday Park, which is just 10 minutes away from Surfers Paradise. It is also centrally located in relation to the major theme parks - Dreamworld, Movieworld, Wet n Wild and Seaworld. Prices start from A$45 for a campervan site and go up to A$270 for a villa.
Usually, I travel to Malaysia by car or flight. I would like to try a new experience by travelling there by a coach bus. Anyone can recommend which coach bus that offers great service yet affordable prices?
I've tried travelling to KL by Transtar Travel coach. The prices were okay, affordable to me as there were promotions during that time. I paid around $45 for Sg to KL and it was an online booking special. I've heard people complaining about coach bus (from any company) with bad services. 1 word of advice: Always buy travel insurance when travelling. You don't know what might happen so just expect the unexpected beforehand.

I would rather give Fatehpur Sikri a miss and spend my day in Jaipur! I loved City Palace and Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II museum. Jantar Mantar observatory and Hawa Mahal(palace of wind) ahve really cool latticed-stone screened windows, behind which ladies of the palace could survey the city without being seen from the outside. Amber Fort is a major mountain fortress-palace that was built over a period of TWO centuries!

Fatehpur is a really spectacular place to visit too. with sandstone arches, courtyards, and buildings that were inhabited since 1585. For adventurers and people with a brave heart, head there for a feel of a GHOST TOWN.

Mumbai, once known as Bombay is India's most cosmopolitan city! you should definitely pay that place a visit if you in for awesome restaurants, topflight hotels and a wonderful nightlife. you could go to the Gateway of India, the Taj Mahal Hotel for sightseeing. i think that mumbai is the best place to shop in india! Bhuleshwar Wholesale Flower Market and Chor Bazaar (Thieves' Market) abounds in genuine and fake antiques. Do make a trip down to Crawford Market for fresh produce!

With three days in hand, you can do a lot of sightseeing and there's lot to visit if you are a first-timer, including the Night Safari, Ancient Civilisations Museum and the Singapore Flyer. You should also stop off in Little India where you'll find lots of little shops selling flowers, spices, textile, trinkets and heaps of Bollywood DVDs. Check out the Mustafa Centre for prices before hitting the streets. The food is terrific in Little India with both southern and northern cuisines represented. Komala Vilas has a well-earned reputation as one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Singapore. Not far away is Sim Lim Complex, a great source of bargains for IT products. Also take time to visit Bugis Village where you'll find lots of stalls selling bargain clothes and accessories.
