I will be visitng New Delhi in mid-december with a friend and we would like to try out trekking and other adventure activites. Where should we go?
New Delhi is known for its beautiful palaces, monuments and bustling bazaars, but India-based tour agencies also offer exciting outdoor adventure activities. To help you plan your itinerary, check out Extreme Adventures Inc (http://extremeadventuresinc.in/). It is based in India and provides day trips to adventure camps outside Delhi such as Dhauj where visitors can take part in activities such as abseiling, river crossing, mountain biking and hot-air balloon rides. A day trip package costs 1,500 rupees or S$44 a person with a minimum sign-up of five persons. Breakfast, lunch and tea are provided. But if you have the guts, you can go for its Flying Fox Neemrana zip tour (1,500 rupees) at the Neemrana Fort Palace. The three-hour guided journey is via a series of zip wires or steel cables from which you will be suspended. As for trekking trips, tour agent Adventure Tours In India (www.adventuretoursindia.com) offers a variety of trips to Darjeeling,Garhwal and skiing in Auli.
When I told my friends I just returned from India, the first response most of them gave me was 'What? Was it really Hot there?' I believe that Singaporeans have this misconception of India. First, it actually snows there! and the scenic places are really comparable to the 7 wonders. Delhi - the capital of India has unlimited attractions on its own. 17th century Shahjahanabad (old Delhi) which includes the Lal Qila(Red Fort), the Jama Masjid, India's Largest mosque, Digambara Jain temple.New Delhi is like a historical site where you can visit India gate, built in memory of the soldiers who died in WW1.The national museum is also a tourist attraction you should take note of.
I would rather give Fatehpur Sikri a miss and spend my day in Jaipur! I loved City Palace and Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II museum. Jantar Mantar observatory and Hawa Mahal(palace of wind) ahve really cool latticed-stone screened windows, behind which ladies of the palace could survey the city without being seen from the outside. Amber Fort is a major mountain fortress-palace that was built over a period of TWO centuries!

Fatehpur is a really spectacular place to visit too. with sandstone arches, courtyards, and buildings that were inhabited since 1585. For adventurers and people with a brave heart, head there for a feel of a GHOST TOWN.

I travelled to india a few months back and it is certainly a place for chilling. Just a few miles from the city of Malvan is Takarli Beach, a stretch of soft white sand edged by the Arabian Sea. The waters there are crystal clear! You can also take a boat up north on the Takarli Creek. You may even be lucky enough to see dolphins there!

Mumbai, once known as Bombay is India's most cosmopolitan city! you should definitely pay that place a visit if you in for awesome restaurants, topflight hotels and a wonderful nightlife. you could go to the Gateway of India, the Taj Mahal Hotel for sightseeing. i think that mumbai is the best place to shop in india! Bhuleshwar Wholesale Flower Market and Chor Bazaar (Thieves' Market) abounds in genuine and fake antiques. Do make a trip down to Crawford Market for fresh produce!

South
Korea at the end of the year. Besides skiing, what are the must-see attractions in the country?
Do visit Mount Sorak, the third highest mountain in Korea and a Unesco site, for its clear gurgling streams, beautiful valleys and granite peaks. Next, head to Daepohang Fish Market, where you can find a huge variety of freshly caught seafood. If you are going with your children, you might want to check out the Yongin Everland theme park for its thrill rides. You should also fit in a visit to the Gyeongbok Palace built during the Joseon dynasty. The largest of the five palaces, it represents happiness and prosperity for the locals there. Round up your trip with a rejuvenating session at Spa Green Land, a spa and hot spring theme park. Its range of indoor and outdoor pools is complete with water jets and a bubble spa.
I am going to Cape Town,
South
Africa, for the Fifa World Cup in June. While I am there, what places should I visit? - Muzammir Kamal
Take a cable-car ride up the 1,086m-high Table Mountain for a panoramic view of the city. At the Table Mountain National Park, you can abseil, paraglide and hike. Do make your way to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope at the southernmost point of Africa, where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. Another place that might interest you is Robben Island, once home to political prisoners such as Nelson Mandela, and now a World Heritage Site. For shopping, the Green Market Square is one of the city's oldest and most popular markets, selling a wide variety of African knick-knacks and clothes.
