Title of your tip: Best food in Vienna
Visit the Naschmarkt, a market in Wienzeile near the Wien River in Vienna. There you will find small restaurants that offer traditional Viennese food such as kaiserschmarrn, a light caramelised pancake dessert. Also, look out for the wiener schnitzel (a thin slice of meat covered with breadcrumbs and fried), knodel (a type of dumpling) and tafelspitz (a dish of boiled beef with potatoes and horseradish).

Recommended trekking sites in Japan
The Kunisaki Buddhist Trek in Kyushu is an eight-day trail through the mountains of the Kunisaki peninsula. Be prepared for steep climbs along ancient trails that monks used to take, passing through hamlets, stone Buddha statues and caves.
For US$2,840 (S$3,999), the package includes accommodation ranging from hotels in the city to Japanese inns with thermal spring baths and a night at a temple. A less arduous alternative is The Summer Nakasendo Way tour along one of Japan's ancient highways, the Nakasendo, also known as 'the road through the mountains'. The scenic road, which snakes through the countryside and picturesque mountains of Japan's Central Alps, was once popular among feudal lords and merchants during the 17th century.
The 16km-long tour costs US$2,850 (S$4,013) and includes accommodation and most meals. For other treks, go to www.walkjapan.com

Interesting places in Kelantan
At Gelanggang Seni, Kelantan's cultural centre, you can learn about gasing uri (top spinning), the silat martial art, shadow puppet shows and kite-making.
Take a four-hour Sleeping Buddha tour (from RM215 or S$89, for two persons) to visit the reclining Buddha at Wat Photivihan. It starts from Kota Bahru town and takes you to a fishing village, where there are boat-making demonstrations.
For details, go to www.virtualmalaysia.com/p2g/61575/kelantan/sleepingbuddhatour.html

Hotspots in Sendai and Niigata
In Sendai, hotspots include the Sendai Castle ruins, historic Rinno-ji temple and Osaki Hachiman Shrine from the 1600s.
Since you are going in December, look out for the Pageant of Starlight. During this time, the trees along the Aoba-dori and Jozenji-dori avenues will be covered with pretty orange lights. At Niigata, take the Shinano River Cruise and taste sake at the Sake Museum Ponshu-kan.

Places to go in Cebu
Other than the usual city sights such as Fort San Pedro, Magellan's Cross and the Basilica Minore del Santo Nino, an eye-opening experience for the family would be a trip to the Carbon Market. It is Cebu's oldest and biggest produce market, which has a big range of food stalls selling yummy snacks such as flame-grilled chicken kebabs, grilled bananas and bola bola, which are Filipino meatballs.
To seek respite from the heat, hit the shopping malls Robinson's Plaza and Ayala Center, a mega mall which has everything under one roof.

Caravan motorhome and caravan parks
Campervan rentals start from about A$80 (S$98) a day, depending on their size and facilities. Those equipped with shower and toilet facilities are slightly pricier at A$99 a day for four people and can go up to about A$170.
Check out www.campertravel.com.au for rental types and availability.
For caravan parks in Melbourne, there is BIG4 Dandenong Tourist Park, which is a 45-minute drive from Melbourne city. It provides caravan and camping sites and cabin accommodation, if you want a change of sleeping quarters.
The site is also close to popular tourist attractions such as Phillip Island, where you can see the famed Penguin Parade and Puffing Billy Station, a panoramic steam train ride your children will enjoy.
Caravan sites start from A$32. Prices for cabins start from A$108 and include facilities such as kitchenettes.
In Gold Coast, try the Treasure Island Holiday Park, which is just 10 minutes away from Surfers Paradise. It is also centrally located in relation to the major theme parks - Dreamworld, Movieworld, Wet n Wild and Seaworld.
Prices start from A$45 for a campervan site and go up to A$270 for a villa.

HCM during CNY
Ho Chi Minh City was crazy during the CNY and the days leading up to it. Le Loi at night had the center lanes blocked off for pedestrians only. The parks were really packed with people.
My advice is that if you've been to HCM before and you really know your way there, of course, you can proceed on your own. But if you're a newbie tourist there, it's better to follow tours.
Well, I'm sure you don't want to get lost in another city when celebrating CNY.

Plan ahead
Tourists planning a trip to Ho Chi Minh City during the Lunar New Year must be well prepared.
Lodging, shopping and availing transport can be a little difficult during this season as it is believed to be the most important celebration of the year for the Vietnamese people.
Hotels and flights sell out and shops and attractions close. So yes, shops are closed during CNY. Book everything well in advance.

Transtar Travel
I've tried travelling to KL by Transtar Travel coach. The prices were okay, affordable to me as there were promotions during that time. I paid around $45 for Sg to KL and it was an online booking special.
I've heard people complaining about coach bus (from any company) with bad services. 1 word of advice: Always buy travel insurance when travelling.
You don't know what might happen so just expect the unexpected beforehand.

Tebrau City: Biggest and Best Shopping Mall in JB
Tebrau City is the biggest and newest shopping mall in JB.
If you like shopping, there's G2000, MNG, Giordano, MAC, Esprit.
If you don't like branded goods, there are other other smaller names or unknown brands - yet they are great buys.
If you like food, there's Japanese, Macau, Hong Kong, Italian, American, other than Malaysian food of course.
If you're looking for books and stationery, Harris has a great range! It is like another version of Popular.
If you plan to catch a movie at a cheaper price (as compared to Sg), there's also the newest TGV cinema there.
Not to mention, the huge Jusco.
Great place for families, couples, friends outing... child friendly.
Depends what you are going to buy, perhaps RM 300-RM 500 (S$125-S$205) if you're on a shopping spree?

Holiday Plaza
VCDs, DVDs, Music CDs and Computer Softwares are abundant in Holiday Plaza.
There are a few good hairdressing salons on the 4th level.
Holiday Plaza is the first shopping centre built in Johor Bahru town. Although this place is considered an "old" place, it still attracts many shoppers.

Thermal clothes
Hi, you can try to drop by Coldwear at Suntec City or Centrepoint. I believe there are other outlets in Sg too.
Other than that, you can visit Adventure 21 (133, New Bridge Road, #02-03A, Chinatown Point Singapore 059413). They are selling trekking wear products.
Here are the websites:
