I've been planning for a short getaway to Malaysia and recently, I've heard a buzz about Pulau Rawa, an island 16 km off Mersing, Johor. I've also read that only the lucky few had discovered this gem of an island. Any opinions/experiences from people who had been to Pulau Rawa before?

Unexpectedly amazing
I went for a 3D2N trip to Pulau Rawa last year.
The island is blessed with white sandy beaches, coves, and superb clear waters for water activities.
Just google Pulau Rawa images and you can definitely view really clear waters! Simply beautiful.
There's even an offshore coral reef just about 20 steps away from the beach. I was very much amazed by the living corals, both soft and hard types.
To me, what's different about Rawa than other resorts that I'd been to is that
it is somehow simple but peaceful, making it a perfect choice for a relaxed getaway.
Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!

Puau Rawa/Rawa Island
Hi, I went to pulau rawa last year with my friends for a short getaway too and I have to tell you that it was indeed a great place to relax & let loose. Over there, Le Club Rawa is one of the coolest place to chill out. You can trek up the hill or go snorkelling, that's what I did there.
The rents to stay there are reasonable too. If I'm not mistaken, for a beach hut, rents vary from RM110 during low season to around RM400 for a family suite during peak season. Have fun! :)
